Free Kundli (Vedic Birth Chart)
A kundli, or janam kundli, is the map of the sky at the moment and place you were born. Enter your date, time and place of birth and Astromaan draws your lagna (ascendant) chart and shows where each planet stood, your Moon sign (rashi), your birth nakshatra and pada, and the houses each planet sits in.
The chart is calculated in the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsha, the standard used for Vedic astrology in India, from real planetary positions, not a table lookup. It also gives your Vimshottari dasha timeline (which planetary period you are running now), the major yogas in your chart, and checks for Manglik dosha, Kaal Sarp and Sade Sati.
The more exact your birth time, the more reliable the lagna and the dashas. If you only know it roughly, the Moon sign and nakshatra are usually still right, but the lagna and houses can shift.
How do I make a free kundli?
Enter your date of birth, time of birth and place of birth on this page. Your kundli with planets, houses, nakshatra, dasha and yogas is ready in a few seconds, free, with no sign-up needed.
What do I need to make an accurate kundli?
Your exact birth date, your birth time as precisely as you know it (from a birth certificate or hospital record if possible) and your birth town. The town gives the latitude and longitude that fix your lagna.
Which ayanamsha does Astromaan use?
Lahiri (Chitrapaksha), the standard in Indian Vedic astrology, validated against the Swiss Ephemeris. Planet positions come from NASA JPL's DE440 ephemeris.
What if I do not know my birth time?
You can still find your Moon sign and nakshatra from the date alone, but the lagna and the house positions depend on the time. Ask an elder, or check hospital or school records.
